AI Topicalities in the Book of Abstracts of the 7th International Economic Forum

At the 7th International Economic Forum “INNOVATION. TRUST. RESPONSIBILITY: Latest Scientific Findings, Cooperation & Best Practice,” two abstracts from Lyra Digital founders were published in the official Book of Abstracts. Released by the Institute of Economics of the Latvian Academy of Sciences, these contributions highlight growing conversations around responsible technology, ethical artificial intelligence, and inclusive digital development.

Equitable AI Governance in Europe
Renars Raubiskis shared an examination of equitable AI governance, giving attention to the EU’s Artificial Intelligence Act passed in 2024. His work focuses on a framework that meets fairness and human rights requirements, while also acknowledging concerns about algorithmic bias and the digital divide. He suggests cooperation among policymakers, industries, and civil society as a way to encourage accountable, human-centric AI across the region.

Responsibly Using Digital Technologies
Co-founder Ance Petrovica outlined the significance of the United Nations’ Global Digital Compact (GDC) for shaping technology that benefits everyone. She looks at how NGOs like Lyra Digital can bring international digital policies to local communities—especially in the areas of education, ethics, and data governance. By connecting public institutions, academic bodies, and the private sector, her abstract proposes methods to develop technology ecosystems that include a range of user experiences and perspectives.
